Took a different approach with this wig compared to what I did with Yusei.
Yugioh hair is so weird. A style at one angle does not stay consistent with all other angles. Spikes will look like they jut out to the sides when we see the front of a character, but then will go straight back or forward when the view changes to a profile shot. Doing something in-between still won't look 100% accurate at all angles, so I usually have to pick and choose.
My Yusei wig is best seen from a 3/4 view or profile angle, but I decided to try making Dr. Fudo's hair as if it's meant to be seen from a frontal view (or something close). I think I prefer the way my Yusei wig looks the best, but I like how this one turned out too regardless :3
"Who are you and what's wrong with your hair?" You said yugioh hair is wierd I had to! XD if I could get a wig like that one..... I could get to that cosplay!
I still do maintenance on my wig from time-to-time to keep the spikes together, but it also sometimes depends on how you're styling the spikes (if you overload it with too much hairspray, it could weigh the spikes down. use a strong hairspray sparingly and a blowdryer to help them dry faster)
sometimes I do, but sometimes I go ahead and trim the spikes before I spray them. the hair ties are there for keeping the hair separated so I know in advance that I have enough to work with.
