Description

Yay, it's done for the most part ^.^

I still need to make the sword....and Anime STL is in a week...we'll see how that goes with how crazy my homework load is right now, lol XD

Edit: costume info!

I styled the wig myself. it was originally a blonde "silky spikey" from amphigory [link] I had to tame it first with a hairdryer and re-weft a few spots in the back where some of the wefts were sewn in going the opposite direction (I think they were done that way originally to give the back a little lift). I styled the spikes with aqua net hairspray and a few dots of tacky glue to keep the very tips together without overloading with hairspray.

The jacket was made myself. I used an orange bottomweight with brown cotton and black suede. I had a Chinese shirt/dress (with a style that cuts down the center) pattern lying around that I started with, and I just trimmed up stuff in the front and along the bottom, to get the right style. The back pieces of the pattern were originally extended before cutting to ensure I had enough for the tail. The collar came from a completely different pattern, and I modified it to work with this one. I applied the brown along the front with heat n bond and did a very tiny zig-zag stitch along the edge to give it a nice finished look. The collar has heat n bond in it too to help it stick up.

The pants and button-up shirt were from goodwill, but I took in the seams on the pants to fit my form better, and the shirt was cut up around the collar and front before applying bias tape around the edge. I also had to make new button holes and sew in new buttons since the shirt was originally a woman's shirt (and men's shirts generally fold over in the opposite direction). Finished with a black topstitch design on each side of the front.

Boot covers were made completely from scratch with brown suede, black vinyl, and yellow cotton. I draped fabric around my boots and drafted a pattern based on my own boot's shape before making the actual covers. there are zippers in the back, and vinyl around the front that goes under the boot and keeps the covers in place. Heat n bonded the yellow design on top with a zig-zag stitch again to make it look nice ^.^

I had a pattern to use for the gloves (made from same material as boot covers), but I had to modify it so it'd bell out from the wrists, and I had to make the fingers bigger because the pattern was originally meant for stretchy fabrics (and these gloves are made from non-stretchy suede lol). I treated the yellow edge the same way I did for the boots.

The belts are made out of a variety of fabrics I had on hand. I made the shapes of the belts out of craft foam, and the fabric is stitched and/or hot glued over it. I also made the rope that hangs down out of matching material and threaded it through ringlets I installed into the belt. The dangling bead-like things were made from super sculpey.

I made the collar with matching material from one of the belts, and it attaches with velcro in the back. I took a flat gold oval pendant and molded super sculpey over it to get the size and shape I wanted for the actual pendant.
