As far as I know, this is the only photo in existence online of my Rapunzel dress (Based on the Disney Princess Designer Doll Collection [link]
I made it for a Disney Villains and Princess Designer group, though I was only able to wear it for about an hour.
Hopefully I'll have a chance to wear it again soon and get a proper photoshoot...and do proper makeup and actually use my extensions haha. I just changed out of Nami, and was just like, "Whateva" since I knew I wouldn't be in it for very long (I swear, my natural eye color is actually green, but I didn't have the time to change out of my brown ones and re-do my eye makeup. That's how lazy I felt).
I made the dress base by modifying Simplicity 3878. It's longer, got more layers of tulle, and I modified the top edge's shape. It's also got an overlay of Chiffon. The base is Casa Collection Satin. I have a petticoat that I wear under it to make it floofy.
The corset base is modified from Simplicity 2331, with the opening in the back rather than the front, and it's made out of satin. Both the dress and the corset are boned with heavy duty zip ties (the cheap alternative!
). I glued on the reinstones, which are more concentrated in the front and gradually get less as it goes around the back. I made pleated sections that are attached to the top and bottom of the corset out of beaded organza.
The wig is a Delilah in Platinum Blonde from Arda-Wigs.com, with the braids made out of long wefts. I do have several clip-on extensions to make the wig long enough to drag on the floor (made out of long wefts and wig clips), but I haven't worn them with the costume yet.
Pascal came from the internet XD
