Ex-Shadow told me to put up the rest of my trading cards that I made for my latest Digital Imaging class assignment. Hope you guys are as amused as he was XD
Image credits are listed under each work
"Referencing our tutorials and the artwork we view in class related to appropriation, create a series of seven self portrait "trading cards" that playfully test and expand your Photoshop skills. Pay especially close attention to creating coherent images that look like a single image rather than an assortment of pieces. We want the images to be fun, but look professional. Consider the clues that help an image convey it's meaning. Do you want to include your own logo? Can you imagine yourself as a brand? Or are you more of a collection of identities? Go beyond simply pasting your face into images. Adapt the artwork to be your own.
This project will require that you have a sense of humor, take some photos on your own, and gather image resources from magazines, books, and the internet. In most cases you will be better off taking a photo to fit the piece you're working with, rather than trying to find something that fits an old snapshot. Digital cameras are available to check out between class sessions. Some photos may be taken in class or in the surrounding rooms and hallways provided you are not disturbing another class."
....."are you more of a collection of identities?"......sir, you have NO idea
I had lots of fun with this project, and I think I did pretty good at the critique this week.
hehe, I'm kinda embarrised with some of the photos I had to take of myself (most of the time, I just put on a hat and go to class, not bothering to do anything special with my hair....but then I get hat hair XD)
