I got half the materials for my wig today (I'm now just waiting for my order from Cosworx, and then I can start making the darn thing). I also need to add some straps to a pair of shoes and add a zipper to the back of my pleather shirt (it was pinned for these photos...) AND THEN I WILL BE DONE! (Super Special Awesome!) My boyfriend is also bringing my Duel Disk when he comes to visit Friday :3 (horray!)
For the Jacket, I used the pattern from my Ouran Blazer (except, I made changes to the collar and had to take in the seams a whole lot)
I had a pattern for a basic pair of pants, but I made a ton of alterations to get what I wanted >.<
The tank top was completly from scratch (I was not going to pay a ton of money for a simple tanktop pattern...)
The belts were probably the most annoying part of this cosplay. I had to make all of them, and the snaps and studs were really expensive....I'm proud with how they turned out though (especially my wristbands and deck belt)
I made the Millenium puzzle out of wood and clay :3 I'm kinda sad - I left it back home, and I won't get it until spring break....so don't expect any photoshoot stuff until then. (I'm picky like that)
thanks to my roomie for taking my the photos of me in my cosplay!
Malindachan you and your friends made me believe in myself to cosplay I was scared to even do that but seeing you guys do it made me feel comvident about it
Man where did yami the plushie i've looked every where for one like that on amazon and ebay and all i come up with is something that doesn't look good.
0.0... Where did you get the pattern for the belts!? I really need to know by August.
I absoluately love your plushie!!! Yes I have noticed that many people have said that they wanted one and that it's adorable... But that's because it is!!!!
the belts only took me an evening or two. each one is basically two really long rectangles that I sewed together, turned outside out, and topstitched along the top and bottom edges. The buckles were found at the fabric store (for the rectangle metal one, I had a piece of silver-painted vinyl velcro-ed to the top of a plastic buckle), and then I hammered in the studs.

yeah, yami plushies used to be pretty easy to find online, but now most places are sold out.
Where can you get that plushie?
